Halifax is the largest town of Calderdale, West Yorkshire, frequented by international and national tourists interested in landmarks from Victorian and Georgian times. If you have already moved here, visiting or considering moving to Halifax, you are or will become part of a very special community of lucky inhabitants that have some of the most scenic and beautiful views of the UK on your doorstep (we are not joking!). Apart from visiting the famous landmarks, there are many things to do in Halifax, UK. Here is the HSUK guide to fun days out with the kids in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

Here are some of the places that can be visited to help keep the offspring entertained.

Eureka Childrens Museum:

Eureka Children Museum fosters learning among kids via cool activities. It is an interactive museum dedicated for children between 0 to 11 years of age (also interesting for kids between 11 and 60 J ) and has separate sections to facilitate learning activities. The museum promotes interactive learning and contains various attractions for children of all ages. The Cafeteria enables sustenance so adults can keep up with the children and the children wont miss their nutritional requirements.

Exhibitions take place regularly to help children explore and discover their talents. Six galleries in total are present where scientific models are present and activities related to music and theatre take place. Interactive shows and science experiments are also held all around the year for families at different timings.

Manor Health Park and The Jungle Experience:

Manor Health Park and Jungle Experience is an outdoor play area catering for kids of all ages. It contains various learning opportunities for children and is spread over 19 acres. Scenic flowers, woodland, walks, picnic spots, water play area, outdoor sports and gym will provide enough variety to wear even the most energetic 10 years olds batteries flat.

The health park is divided into four major sections with each of these having particular plants and environment. Tropical Oasis, Savage Garden, Butterfly World and Lily Pond are the prominent sections. Savage Garden contains insect eating plants while Tropical Oasis is reserved for terrapins, butterflies, aquatic species and botanical gardens.

Shibden Hall:

Shibden Hall is a must. It has both indoor and outdoor attractions on 90 acres of area. Walks, woodland, orienteering course, playground, pitch and putt, miniature railway and boating lake are major points of attraction. The picnic point is suitable for children between 0 to 12 years old. Inside the Hall, the lives of previous inhabitants is documented with artefacts.

Electric Bowl:

Electric Bowl might be a saviour on a rainy day. It is an indoor games specialist. Families can enjoy picnics by playing snooker and tenpin bowling. There are many restaurants and dining areas present where lunch, dinner and snacks can be enjoyed after getting tired from the activities. It is suitable for children between 9 to 18 years of age. Big Blue Frog:

Big Blue Frog is an indoor play place that is considered as one of the biggest and best in Calderdale. Sportsman Inn and Leisure:

For extreme winter sports, this is the place to be. The sportsman inn is the place for snow tubing, skiing and snowboarding, its made possible due snow-like material called Snowflex. The facility offers support in advanced techniques such as bump skiing, big air jumps, fun box and 1/4 pipe.

An indoor play area called Charlie Fastrax is also available with loads of tunnels, coloured ball pools, slides, climbing frames and spooky caves. This soft play area is safe for young toddlers and the little, little kids.

Play Palace:

Play Palace is an indoor play area with facilities that make it a secure place for children up to 11 years old. It is a royal place with cool play area with slides and ball pits. Many other game areas are also available where children can enjoy full day and have snacks at the restaurants.

The Mill Play Centre:

Mill Play Centre is recommended for toddlers and young children due to soft play area facilities. Classic gaming areas will keep the older children busy for hours
